This dance is based on a Chinese classical folk melody "Spring Night on a Moonlight River". At a peaceful and quiet spring night, the moon is bright and flowers are blooming. A girl is dancing by the river. She listens to the waves rising and falling with the sweet scents of flowers, imaging loving couples enjoying the beautiful and intoxicating spring night.

Love of a Boat Tracker (Chinese Folk Dance)

The melody of the dance is a very popular Chinese folk song. The song depicts a romantic dialogue between a young boat tracker and his girl friend sitting on a boat. To the boat towing rhythm, the dancers do the yangko, a popular rural folk dance, to show the couples' love and devotion.

This was an extremely popular dance in the seventies in China. It depicts friendship between Tibetan people and the soldiers. A group of Tibetan women are fetching water from a river as they come across a solder washing clothes. They help him wash the clothes and he helps them carry the water. The dance is typical of Tibetan joyful choreography and reflects Tibetan people's love of life.  
     
Jar Dance (Sri Lankan Dance)

This is a classic dance of the East Song and Dance Ensemble (Dong Fang Ge Wu Tuan) of China. It depicts a group of Sri Lankan women dancing happily at riverside as they fetch water with a water jar on their head.
